This weekend, Ryan and I got our hair cut, which meant that he wanted to eat out for lunch. (If you give a Ryan a hair cut…)
We went to Blue Moon Evolution in Exeter, which is this lovely little locavore restaurant/café. He had a wonderful white bean soup, which was one of the daily specials, and we resolved to make it.
And for some reason, I wanted to make a cream sauce with squash. Yes, I understand that this is the opposite of both the season and the weather.
If you keep reading these posts, then you’ll soon realise how truly random my culinary inspirations are.
- Pasta with creamy squash sauce, constructed like Roasted Butternut Alfredo by The PPK (but with a plethora of substitutions)
- White bean soup (dried white beans!), with chard and fakin’ bacon
